Welcome to the Long Island Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club
ADK Long Island is a local chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club. Our 900-plus members are passionate about the wilderness and outdoor recreation. Volunteer-led outings such as hiking, paddling, cycling, cross-country skiing, and backpacking take us to the Hudson Highlands, Catskills, Adirondacks and places far afield, as well as Long Island. We are active in the maintenance and protection of our wilderness and waterways and welcome new members.

Monthly Chapter Meetings
We are currently negotiating space for our monthly meetings. Watch this space and our Yahoo Groups messages for the latest on the date and time for our fall schedule of meetings.
ADK presents the ididaride! Adirondack Bike Tour on Sunday, August 17, 2008 in North Creek, NY.
A 75-mile loop beginning and ending in North Creek; 20-mile option from Indian Lake to North Creek.
A fund-raising bicycle tour to support ADK’s conservation, education, and recreation programs. This year’s ride is dedicated to the memory of Betty Lou Bailey, avid ADK-er and bicyclist. 3 rest stops with snacks, water provided along the route. SAG wagon and mobile mechanical support provided. Rider packet with map and t-shirt (to the first 100 registrants) provided at registration. Après-ride party: food, drink, prizes and music! Swimming and camping available nearby.
Registration: $65 ADK members; $75 non-members. 75-mile ride: 8:30 am registration and departure. 20-mile ride: 12:00 noon registration and shuttle from North Creek to Indian Lake; 1:00 departure from Indian Lake.
