Celebrate the Columbus Day Weekend at the ADK Loj in the Adirondack High Peaks Friday, October 6th to Monday, October 9th, 2017.
The Columbus weekend outing is one of our most popular outings of the year and offers opportunities for almost every level of hiking, including “bagging” a 46’r, shorter guided hikes, paddling, biking, shopping, antiquing, and visiting the Lake Placid Olympic Center or the Adirondack Museum and Wild Center.
Enjoy the fall foliage and soak up the unique Adirondack atmosphere. Join us for a great outing and great fun! All ADK members are welcome! Nonmembers are invited to become an ADK member and join us for the fun.
Details and reservation form:
Check with Cathy Stare at email@example.com to confirm availability and reserve your spot. The 8 accommodations that remain as of September 11 include a full 6 person bunk room and 2 bunks in another 6-person room.
Activities will include guided hikes of varying difficulty, or if you prefer, self-directed activities in the Lake Placid area. A complete schedule of planned/guided outings will be published before the event.
Many of these activities will start directly from the Loj, avoiding crowds and parking problems on this prime fall weekend. There are also many possible non-hiking activities.

- Coney Mountain (part of the Tupper Lake Triad)
- Avalanche Lake Trail

We expect to add more to this list.
